Member of Family: Pieridae

French common name: Coliade de la luzerne

Like most other members of this subfamily, this species does not normally rest with its wings open. The individual pictured at top right was freed from the grip of an ambush bug. When viewed dorsally, the orange colour for which it is named is easily visible ( compare to dorsal view of Clouded Sulphur ). The White form females are very difficult to distinguish from the White form Clouded Sulphur.
