Short-tailed Swallowtail (Papilio brevicauda) 

Member of Family: Papilionidae 

French common name: Papillon queue-courte 

This species is endemic to Eastern Canada.  In the Maritimes, it is found along the North and North-eastern coast of New Brunswick, and Northern Cape Breton.  The photos shown above - of the subspecies found in Gaspesie - are the only photos I have so far.
