Western Pine Elfin (Callophrys eryphon)

Member of Family: Lycaenidae   

French common name: Lutin du pin gris

Though nominally a western species, there are localized populations in New Brunswick.  It can be difficult to distinguish this butterfly from the more common Eastern Pine Elfin.
