This website is intended to be a helpful guide to the Butterflies of the Maritime Provinces of Canada.
Each butterfly species has its own web page, and these pages are organized by family. You can get to these pages by using the "By Families" drop down menu, by searching using the species names, or by following either of the following links:
If you're unfamiliar with the wide range of butterflies found in Eastern Canada, you might want to start at the Butterfly Families Page. This will give you an idea of how these butterflies are classified, but feel free to dive in anywhere!
